WGHUK is run by a cross-sector team of volunteers who come from a variety of backgrounds, including public health, law, epidemiology, and clinical medicine. We work closely with with WGH colleagues around the world to advocate for gender equality in global health.

Social Media Officer Zahin is an epidemiological scientist at Public Health England within the Immunisation and Countermeasures Division, where she has been working for the last four years, after graduating with a degree inBiomedical Science. Zahin is also studying an MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her particular areas of interest are infectious disease control at global level, specifically zoonotic infections, alongside vaccine-preventable disease
Social Media Officer Elise is an epidemiologist working on vaccine surveillance at Public Health England. She is responsible for monitoring vaccine coverage across England. Elise has a Masters in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Masters in Global Health from Universitat de Barcelona. She is currently heavily involved in the UK response and planning for COVID-19.
